sketch, sketch, sketch

I have been pretty busy with illustrating "Howie" but I still sketch a lot in the evening during my free time. Sketching and drawing are probably my favorite part of the artistic process...I'm not sure exactly what it is..maybe it's how you can see the progress and how the artist builds up the lines. I love looking through my old sketchbooks and other artists as well.  I always thought it would be cool to have a collaborative art show or publish a book and showcased sketchbooks of many artists. Alright, well here are my sketches over the past few weeks! Hope you enjoy! avatar characterstudy cutesy downtonabbey princessball profiles rap roofopstudy  whuttsadgirl

Doodlers Anonymous Coloring Book Submission

Doodlers Anonymous Coloring Book Submission Here is my submissions for Doodle's Anonymous' annual coloring book they create each year. Only around 60 artists are chosen and I hope I am one of them! It was a lot of fun working on this project...I was struggling at first because I kept trying to sketch something out..I then decided to just start "doodling" and this is what came out! :)

hot air balloon

Hotairballoon

Hi Everyone! Here is a new whimsical illustration I finished last night. I've done a few Hot Air Balloon drawings before and always loved the theme.  I  experimented with Ink, watercolor and prismacolor. I also got the chance to try out my new Epson scanner...which I love!

I also wanted to thank everyone who has followed my blog so far! I reached over 100 followers since starting this blog this past summer! Thanks so much!

Bowties are cool

doctor Here is a mixed-media portrait of the 11th Doctor I worked on this past summer. I had planned on doing a portrait of week...and would still like to make that a goal of mine. Any suggestions as to whom I should draw next???

Illustration from the Ocean at the End of the Lane

oceanforestill "We pushed our way into a clump of trees, and through the clump of trees into a wood, and squeezed our way through trees too close together, their foliage a thick canopy above our heads. We found a clearing in the wood, and walked along the clearing, in a world made green."
